Union - 1900
UNION/1900/FEB/14/8AM/N.Y. 28mm black CDS, year on top. Black quartered
circle killer ties one cent green Bureau issue of
1898 (#279) which paid the one cent per ounce non-
carrier local letter rate effective July 1, 1885.
Union - 1902
UNION/1902/MAY/22/8AM/N.Y. 28mm black CDS, year on top. Worn black quartered
circle killer ties two cent red Type III Bureau
issue of 1898 (#279B) which paid the two cent per
ounce first class letter rate effective July 1, 1885.
Sometime between 1902 and 1906 the killer was changed to a duplex and the dial size
increased from 28mm to 29mm, resulting in a larger space between the town and the year.
