BINGHAMTON/OCT/28/N.Y. 34mm Black CDS; "B" close to "N"; Black PAID 3 in fancy ribbon.  To Winona, MN Terr
                       Assumed to be pre 1855 since Miss Gage was married on Sept 4, 1856 per note on back.
                       Rate for under 3000 miles, per Act of March 3, 1851.

Binghamton - 1850's

BINGHAMTON/NOV/18/N.Y. Black 31mm CDS; "B" close to "N"; Black PAID/3 in 20mm circle.  Forwarded from
                       Buffalo on NOV 21 to Syracuse and back to Buffalo on NOV 29.  3 cents indicates the
                       pre-paid rate. The not pre-paid forwarding was 5 cents each time thus 10 cents was 
                       due at Buffalo, per the Act of March 3, 1851.
